Day 15726

The moon seemed hampered by a scrim of cloud all done in matte, the subdued light not matching the cold urgency of my walk home.

After the warm embrace of evening had comforted me a while, I felt called to check on any progress the clouds or moon might have made.

Bare branched trees had etched a new layer onto the foreground of this strange January painting but looking out, I felt clarity might still be mine. Throwing open the door, ripples of heat rushed past performing a dance of bending light before disappearing, liberated. The moon glowed but awkwardly still.

I cannot think figure if the music for moments of odd light should sound warm, cold or not at all like music.

Okay, who is this, and what have you done with Dale?

Actually, this is a nice word painting of the type of scene that would stay in your memory forever.

I've been experiencing a great deal of cold urgency these days.

My vote goes to not like music at all.

I think tones, maybe something like Philip Glass might do.

Is this a polite way of saying you peed out the back door?

Are you trying to seduce us, oh deep one?

Lovely imagery, but please, write something bitchy again. We miss the real you! ;)

The Moon, Sans Pants
I glared coldly at the orb in its full glory as the rushing beams mooned the Earth...

I'm still here X. Dell but you wouldn't believe how long it took me to try and say that and it still doesn't come close. I'll work on it.

This bears further investigation Mr. BSUWG.

You may be right or you may be crazy Allison. Oh, I'm sorry for that.

You may be on to something there Bubs, I thought of Philip too and then of Laurie Anderson. There's something perfect about hearing her words in the cold while walking. Tones are good though, very good.

Suze, must you watch my every move?! Curses!

It's not working is it Beckeye. I'll try harder next time.

The bitchiness is never far away Coaster Punchman. I sense a return shortly.

I was hoping you'd glare at my orb with warmth Lori but I'll taking mooning beams too.

Is the 15,726 an accurate number? Did you remember to count leap years?

Proof that I will forever be 12: I read "ripples" as "nipples" and laughed at "nipples of heat," thinking of a porn star with that nickname. "Jenna Jameson is....NIPPLES OF HEAT."

This entire reaction was wholly unwarranted, and I apologize.

Didn't I tell you to stop making me swoon? I didn't? Well, nevermind then. Carry on...

PS: I'm off to write a post about taking a mind vacation in yours...

You are so full of suprises Mr. Bee.

Something shattery would be perfect. Not like a car crash or anything, but along those lines.

18457 here, still don't get it

If you restructure this post it will do nicely as a gorgeous poem. Doesn't matter to me if you did hit the cough syrup first - more, Dale! More!

I've never read Faulkner but I can tell you one thing DCap, he's hard to write.

My original calculation did not include leap years until I thought of it (probably 4 seconds before you did) Evil Genius.

This is exactly why I'm glad at 13 Pistols, I only spent about 2/3 as much time laughing at your comment as a 12 year old would have. I'll look for that tittie, I mean title.

My mind's up for grabs Flannery, dance right through it as you please. I'm glad I channeled Barry Manilow for you "I write the posts that make the young girls swoon".

Want some Bluez? I got lots.

I'll test the Doctor Who theme the next time I'm brave enough to open the door Mistress. Brrrr.

And I thought I couldn't surprise anyone anymore Old Lady. Good for me. And you too! :-)

Know anyone who can play icicles Barbara?

Not enough cough syrup Blues, thassyerproblem.

Are you deconstructing my construction Julia? Glad you liked it.

You rock. I saw the moon with a crazy halo last night and it was beautiful.

Dale's moment on Walden Pond...impressive, but I'd vote for not like music at all, too. The last Tool CD comes to mind, a track called "Lipan Conjuring", if you'd have put a creepy spin on it.

Doc said...

I don't think there would be any music either. Maybe just the call of a crow.

Wonderful piece Dale.

That whole week was weird moons Tenacious S and they all made me wonder.

Thank you for not saying 'On Golden Pond' Genn6. I'll try Tool next time and see how it goes.

A crow. That would add a nice plaintive touch Doc. Thank you.
