Stevie Joe Said So

As a good (North) American, I feel it is my duty to draw attention to the 3 minute Wage Peace Movie I first read about at the worthwhile Stevie Joe Parker's Guide To Life. His post on the matter is here.

It must be a pretty powerful film if it drew no smart-assery from you. I shall return to watch it.

That was so sad to watch, and it made me angry as well. I signed the petition. I wish I could do more.

Thanks, Dale.

Dale,
thanks for the link. I always forget how important it is to think in terms of "waging peace" instead of "resisting war". Peace is not the absence of war, it's the presence of certain elements in the world. One of them is a mature and intelligent citizenry.

Why not a film honoring all those boots, names and tearful friends of the deceased? Why not encouragement for those fighting for Iraqi Freedom. Why not a promise to those fighting over there that what we are doing is right and supported by Americans? Why not ask the Kurds (who were slaughtered because of their fate), if we are helping their emotional and life's well-being? Why not a film showing showing international support on its way to Iraq to take-over (or even help with) the 'peace process'?

I have all of these in my mind...

It was a moving piece of work Barbara and made me, gasp, think.

It was sad and I'm glad it stirred you to action Zed.

It's an interesting way to frame an idea Chancelucky, isn't it?

My pleasure RC.

Your mind is a full place T and that's a good thing right?

Dale - You're right (or left?). I always like to hear the entire story before passing judgment. Too many times people see only what is fed to their eyes and ears without talking to actual witnesses or others involved that don't have a platform.

Big boobs, on the other hand, are easy to determine and I don't mind passing judgment too quickly on that topic.

Big boobs are much easier to judge and could actually help with the peace process if used properly T.
