7 Songs for 7 Bloggers

I can't figure out a cute way to combine the names of Tanya Espanya and Flannery Alden so I'll just take them in vain and do as they said.

The order was to post Seven Sins Songs you're really in to right now. I'm not sure why it's Seven but I don't want my head ending up in a box so here goes:

1. Ol' Keeper.mp3 - Anthony Hamilton

2. All Mine.mp3- Portishead

3. King of the Bongo.mp3 - Manu Chao (you reinfected me Tanya!)

4. Blinded By The Stars.mp3 - Pernice Brothers

5. Ghosts Of American Astronauts.mp3 - Mekons

6. Stacks O' Money.mp3 - Eagles Of Death Metal

7. Let's Never Stop Falling In Love.mp3 - Pink Martini

I tried a dozen or so times to post the mp3 link for Danger! High Voltage by Electric Six but dark forces wouldn't allow it.

Now, anybody else? Please feel free!

Very cool game Dale! I love that you linked up all the songs, thank you! :O) I'm listening to the first one now. Groooovy!

I've said it before, I'll say it again:

Dale, you're the King of the Bongos.

You listen to some crazy shit, man. And of course I mean that as a high compliment.

My favourite here was Ghosts of American Astronauts. Although the Pink Martini song made me feel like dancing all sexy-like in the kitchen.

The Eagles of Death Metal are hilarious.

I dig that Pink Martini song.

Loving the MP3's of the spanish BumbleBee Man. Keep it up!

Everyone is brilliant. They've all been added to my playlist! Thanks D

Anthony's pretty groovy isn't he Mel?

Yes, yes I am Tanya. Thanks for keeping it real.

I guess the kitchen is as good a place as any Barbara to start in.

Gizmorox turned me on to the Eagles of Death Metal if I'm correct Beckeye and my pal Berry went to see Pink Martini and led me their way. It's not really my list at all is it?

Enjoy FC, I'm always stealing playlist ideas so I'm glad you're liking them.

Flanya Espalden?

Dale said...

That should pass muster Deadspot. Thank you for a valiant effort.

Tanya Espanya said...

Notice how it was only Deadspot what tried to make a new name for me and Flannery?! I didn't even think to do it...I figured we'd just be Tanya and Flannery...

Very interesting Dale. Glad someone else likes the Eagles of Death Metal as well!

I was thinking Flanya personally, it's short and elegant.

Thanks for the mp3s, so much fun to hear new music.

Dale said...

I wonder what your shared avatar will look like Tanyalden?

And then there were two! Or three! At least three of us now Molecular Turtle. Climb on board.

My pleasure Lulu. Although most of it's not new new, it's new to you you.

That is the most eclectic mix of tunes. Bravo.

The Eagles of Death Metal just make me laugh whenever I hear their songs, or watch a video.

I also feel like I should be in the kitchen while listening to Pink Martini, or drinking wine at least.

The question is: who gets the rights to the cool new name mash up? I like the sound of it...

Grant Miller said...

I enjoy the Pernice Brothers.

Dale said...

They're pretty hilarious Allison and they sound decent too. I think everyone should have a drink.

For now, you do Flanyary, she's out of town.

Now that they know this Grant, they're bound to enjoy Grant Miller Media. I enjoy them too.

Tanya Espanya said...

Enjoy the name while you can Flannery (if that is your real name)...when I'm back home on Sunday we can brainstorm how we want to work the new name and new avatar.

I'll try to view this list as a musicologist, not a psychologist.

Winter said...

I only agree with #2. I'm sorry.

Dale said...

Careful Tanya, she's feisty.

My psyche appreciates that very much X. Dell.

Does this mean we have to stop falling love Winter?

How come we cannot comment on your last entry??

Dale said...

I must have been worried about what you'd say Jill. I've fixed it.
