After seeing the film
But I'm A Cheerleader several years ago, one of the songs from the soundtrack ate away at my brain for a long time. The film was pretty funny too but I just couldn't shake the song.
I guess I figured I'd been cured of it not having thought of it in a while. Then along comes Quentin with
Death Proof. He's included the same song playing over the menu at the start of the dvd and now I've got the brain fever again.
April March - Chick Habit mp3Someone run me over.

Oh my god, you're crapping me! I had that movie in the U-Haul with me when I moved to Chicago, and I watched it about ten times before turning it back into Netflix, and that song is stuck in my head at least once a day for a full hour.
hang up the chick habit
hang it up, daddy,
or you'll be alone in a quick
Dale. Seriously. You are like my gay Canadian soul mate.
I have several April March MP3s, if you're interested.
Didn't Natasha Lyonne get into some nasty legal trouble a few years back? Like drunk driving and harassment and the like. She just doesn't have the same vacuous celebrity pull that Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan, so she's been swept under the carpet (of which, pictures prove, Paris and Lindsay have none).
Cute movie. She reminds me of a young Kathleen Turner, with that husky voice. Except she's not pretending to be German.
If you think I am going to click on that mp3 and risk having my brain eaten out by an ohrwurm, you are out of your mind. Possibly having had it eaten by a song.
Okay, I'll try it then!
Do you really think it is a good think to say to people to run you over?? You might get what you ask for!!
Yeah, Natasha Lyonne was actually in a drug-induced coma for a long time sometime in the last few years. Very sick girl with a serious drug problem. Also got in trouble with the law for getting into a fight with her neighbor and threatening to "molest" their dog. I always liked her as an actress and I hope she's getting it together.
When I opened the file I didn't realize that I had my Windows Media Player on repeat, so I screamed a little when it started playing over again, I thought I'd caught it too.
Gee, Dale, thanks for the earworm.
At least someone's making some serious royalties. Next thing you know, we'll hear it in a Geicko commercial.
I am feeling a lot of love for you tonight.
I may have to e-mail you a photo of my bra-clad knockers.
Oh God I remember this song!!! Yeah baby, thanks for putting up a link to this for me to read at 1 in the morning after working nights. Cool.
I love both those movies, too.
I just watched that movie AGAIN about three weeks ago when I came across it late one night. I love it and the music!
It's time I let you know Bella. I was in that U-Haul too. Don't be frightened. Come on up, we'll watch movies.
Even knowing that 'Chick Habit' is viral Beth, I'll accept your offer.
She did sort of hit the wall I think ITSW with the drinking and insanity and I haven't seen her lately with or without her carpet on display.
It was a cute movie, I think I might as well see it again since I can't shake the song. Do you think maybe April March is German?
Barbara, I must know what you thought. I'm envisioning you entering "So You Think You Can Dance" to this tune.
Jill, put me out of your misery.
Wow Bella, I didn't know you'd put her in a coma. Lay off! You Chicago broads is tough.
Leave it on repeat Mob and watch the turns your life will take. The warped record sounding backing music will take hold.
As long as they don't dress her up like a Caveman X. Dell, I'm good.
I can feel the love tonight Jacy but I shouldn't share my personal habits with you should I? Or should I? I guess my comment should be titled Knockered Up?
Both movies were pretty good Bubs, I finished watching Death Proof last night and was happy to see the turnaround after the first half. Your poor family trying to sleep and you dancing around like that in the early hours of the morning, tsk tsk.
We need to have a movie night Tenacious S. Maybe we'll invite Naked Raygun over and make a party of it.
April March is 98 pounds of pure sugary pop goodness.
I think I could handle that much sugar Dr. M. It might take me more than one sitting but I'd be willing to give it a go.
Never heard of the movie, nor of the music. Thanks for sharing this little piece of uhm...music? I'll make it a habit never to download any unknown music again..:)
I can arrange that.
Marloes, who knew you were so secretly snarky?! Excellent going. Care to share what you're listening to now?
You've got the power Tenacious S. and I've never doubted it.
Ok, I've seen both movies, and don't remember the song...I must download it when I get home from work!
By the way...what did you think of Deathproof????!!!!!
@Dale, Im still not sure how to on Double Dutch. I share heaps on my Dutch blog though..:)I even have a poll where my readers can vote for the next number to be shared. Pretty nifty huh?
I liked it Mel, the car chases and soundtrack were wild, I liked the turnabout in the story during part 2 although the dialogue could have been written by a fifth grader. Usually I like QT's dialogue but not this time.
I'll have to take a Dutch lesson then Marloes and try out some of your music, and then make fun of it.
This is one of the campiest, most fun movies ever and has a great soundtrack. I wish my parents had sent me to that camp, dammit, I never got to do anything fun when I was a kid.
yay free music!! thanks dale! and i'm so sorry i missed you during your last trip to NYC...next time for sure!!
It was a lot of fun H at H, I think it'd be worth seeing again now that I'm temporarily finished with the death and destruction.
Hope you're dancing to the song right now Hapabukbuk. Hopefully we can get together sometime soon.
There is not fun when you are asking for it!!!
Was I ever really asking for it?
