Something In The Way She Moves

On my way to work this morning, I saw two men pushing a claw foot bathtub down the sidewalk. It was on a wheeled platform and the girl reclining in the tub didn't seem to mind at all. Rose petals were flying everywhere and even the homeless guys broke character for a second and laughed.

I wish I saw things like that. It would give me something more interesting to blog about.

Gretta.

Toronto is magical! The most exciting thing I saw on the way in was a man digging to nose China in the lane next to me.

See, now THAT's the way to start a day!

Was "Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" playing in the background?

Where did you see that? That is so cool.

The only time I saw anyone pushing a clawfoot tub was down the ramp leading to the parking lot at the Gold Coast Casino. People were taking turns racing it to the bottom of the ramp, over a speed bump, while some hillbilly with a longneck beer stopped traffic.

Était la baignoire remplie de champagne?

Heehee! That is a marvelous way to start the day. How cool!
btw, when I grow up and have my very own house, I want one of those tubs. New style tubs feel like you're sitting in an oversized sink!

On the drive in to take Robert to work, we drove through 1962 Baltimore.

They turned the intersection of Carlaw and Eastern into a giant set for Hairspray, the remake.

You need to stop using just the one eye there Gretta. :-)

You made me snort with your nose digging Beth - hilarious.

I loved it Berry. It made me feel like there was a point and the point was random happy goofy stuff is good to see on your way to work.

Haahnster! You puzzling fellow. I know that was a song but that's about it. Are you going to make me research? Or is it so obvious that I should know?

Hey Bubs - just rolling down York Street after I'd gotten my coffee. The girl in the tub was rather pretty although the two fellas pushing her may have been hillbillys. I love strange sights.

Aucune vieille Madame, j'aurais sauté dedans s'il y avait !

They're great Lee, nice sloped back and so relaxing.

We had one growing up Lulu and I wish I still did. Now, I've got one of the sitting in a sink ones that Lee mentioned.

Very cool Tanya, I knew they were working on the movie but didn't know they were invading our streets for it. Tease up that hair baby and go get yourself a part you big hairhopper.

Strangely Ben, last night was the first great sleep I've had in a long time. And then to see my silly tub girl go by started the day off in great fashion.

At this point, I would have looked for a hidden camera. People in Japan are probably watching your reaction on TV right now.

Wasn't there a children's book about someone driving a bathtub through a city? Something is jogging my memory. Oh, and was she clothed?

You need to carry around a camera for little events like this.....

:-) to you Old Lady.

Hey X. Dell, that would be a great explanation. I may have already won a million dollars on one of their wacky game shows.

There was a sheet of hard plastic covered in petals hiding her body. There were holes cut out for her arms and neck CP. I'm not sure about the book though.

I'd rather use my astute powers of observation Shroomy. Like the powers that help me jump out of the way of runaway bathtubs.

I should think a champagne bath would get really sticky.

How many roses do you think it would take to actually fill up a claw foot tub? Couple hundred? Somebody should get on that and let us know.

Interesting query Gizmo. Someone? Anyone?
