OK GO! On Treadmills

Why isn't a gym paying these guys to sell memberships instead of the fat sweaty guy who shills in my lobby at work 3 times a year? Just asking.

I stole this from Jen at Casual Slack who I'd say lifted it from You Tube but that's just a guess.

Nice steal! I enjoyed watching that far more than I should have. Bloggertainment at it's finest.

That was killer! I guess scantily clad women would have made it better, but hey, what can ya do?

Finally, an example of choreography that speaks to me.

You copy cat. I posted that yesterday, loser.

That was pretty funny... I am not as talented on the treadmill- I hang on for dear life the whole time... I strut that thing though....

I've watched it 3 times Angela. It's blogalicious!

I'm just glad they weren't scantily clad Mat. The lead singer is hysterical isn't he?

And what does it say Haahnster? Do tell.

Tenacious S - I bow down before you and your obvious ahead of me brilliance. As you said, I'm a loosah.

Video please Shroom-Monkey. We all want to see you strut and watch your big eyes swirl.

I loved it. I'd pay money to see a blooper reel. You can't tell me they did it perfectly the first time.

That's fun. Kinda makes me think: The Monkees starring in a Kraftwerk video.

I wonder how much it cost to shoot that video.

mellowlee said...

I wonder how many takes they had to do. And what the did to whoever fucked up and made them have to start all over again from the top *giggle* That was wicked mental :)

You do know it's Shark Week? It would have been great if it concluded with a big great white chowing down on them, mismatched outfits and all. Or maybe Great White playing Once Bitten Twice Shy and burning the place down.

I admit it, I only watched it because Mat said "scantily clad women".

Dale said...

Oh Chelene, I'm crying watching this over and over, I'm so impressed and want to be them. My new heroes. I liked their music already, this is icing.

Perfect X. Dell, Monkees filtered through Kraftwerk. Love it.

I'm getting the feeling I should never had said mental that time Lee, haha.

Dale said...

Coolcat, I'm working on having a shark eat the band but I'm keeping that under wraps until You Tube has a sweeps week. Shhh.

And did you read the comments before watching? How silly but crafty.

Beth said...

Love that. I actually feel like working out right now ... but I'll have another cocktail instead.

justacoolcat said...

Dale - Brilliant! I can't wait until sweeps week. When it comes to videos I always read the comments first. I'm a snob, and I never know when Chelene is going to steal my line and show up at the party in the dress I bought weeks ago for this special comment occasion.

Dale said...

Never drink and dance on a treadmill Beth. Or do and videotape it. A cocktail at this hour? Tsk tsk. Are you off tomorrow?

Dale said...

Ack! You're absolutely right Coolcat. You know what she's like. Just once, I want you to get to wear the dress. Poor fellow.

Beth said...

I'll be quite off tomorrow ... but I will be at work.

Chel and I almost had the same comment. Well, we both were thinking about them screwing up anyways. I guess that's the thing about batch comment processing eh? *G* I like to imagine that whoever screwed up the take got a swirly or something like that. I absolutely LOVE this vid, thanks Dale! :) *goes off to watch it again*

Dale said...

Sounds like me Beth. I'd better vamoose so I can pretend to be awake for at least part of the day.

Here it goes again, here it goes again MellowLee. You and Chel are kindred and I'm busy (watching the video again). I'll probably dream about this now.

HAHA!!! I LOVE IT!!!
:-D

Can I please have the guy in the red pants? PLEASE? I asked first. Oh, & I have cake & chocolate & stuff.....

Dale said...

You're in luck Jin. The bidding starts at cake & chocolate & stuff.

mellowlee said...

Apparently Youtube will be down for Maintenance at 9PM, so in 20 mins the fun will end for a little while *droops*

lulu said...

I was just going to say that TenS beat you to it, but she beat me to that....She's quick that TenS

Dale said...

Wow, you droop easily Lee. It'll be alright, I'm starting a support group right now!

She's quick and apparently willing to beat so I show respect.

gizmorox said...

Dale - the guy lip synching isn't actually the lead singer, he's the bass player. The singer is the hottie in the red pants (alas, Jin, lost to marriage this past December).

The funny thing about it is that they're getting slack from some self-important hipsters about retreading (haha, get it?) past video ideas because they did a silly dance for "A Million Ways" too, but they've done at least two straight up rock videos since then and nobody watches them.

But this? Genius! Anyone who has ever set foot on a treadmill knows that what they're doing is next to impossible. Got to love rock stars willing to risk bodily injury for our amusement. :)

Dale said...

I knew you'd add some great insight here Gizmo so thanks.

It is genius really. I can't turn my head on a treadmill without falling off.

Your news to Jin could mean consolation cake for everyone. Let's hope.

gizmorox said...

Hey, if you need any more useless info about trust fund babies and their nerdy bands, you know who to call.

Mmmm...consolation cake :)

ziggystardust73 said...

I'm not bothered about the guy in the red points, but more to the point... how about those red pants?!?!?!?! Um, where can I buy some?!?!

BOVVERED!

Jill said...

I might go to the gym, but wouldn't do treadmill, because I will laugh my head out watching them, or people trying to repeat the stunt.

chelene said...

I just want it pointed out that I have watched this three more times. It's still brilliant.

Also, Coolcat and Mel, whatever you're thinking right this second I already thought five minutes ago!

Dale said...

Thanks Gizmo, you're a wealth of great music info. I learn schtuff every time I visit your blog. Also, what made you think he was lip synching? If Madonna can work out and 'sing' can't they? Har har.

Ziggy, I'll find the pants for you. You'll be hot and bovvered either way I'm sure.

Jill -- You can record your video on some other piece of gym equipment. Be creative.

I know Chelene! They're so copying you. I thought what they thought 4 minutes ago. Which I guess still puts me behind you.

gizmorox said...

Maybe what tipped me off that he was lip synching is that it's not his voice. I have no doubt Tim is talented enough to sing and treadmill dance at the same time, but he doesn't sound a thing like that.

It's very kind of you to lie and say you learn things from me. :)

justacoolcat said...

So you think that I'm thinking? I knew you'd think that and I stopped thinking long ago. But then again, you knew that.

Dale said...

But I do, I do Gizmorox. Along with your posts you have those great song of the day things and when I don't know them, I look them up and think, why didn't I know about this? Oh, because I'm a moron and Giz is not.

Then I read about how much you love your cubicle people at work and learn interesting ways to exact torture on them.

And other stuff too, so there.

Coolcat, there was a disturbance and silence in the Force earlier and I knew it was you not thinking again. I'm bright like a light sabre. Why the Star Wars reference? I dunno either.
